Why skipping meals doesn’t serve your body connection

You may think what’s the harm, or that the day is too busy. I get it. I used to let my day decide what and when I would eat. But then I realized that I was getting anxious way to often and my body was just running around on fight or flight! When we don’t value the importance of a meal, take breakfast for example, we run off adrenaline, cortisol spikes, we can enter primal hunger, and often feel a mood crash or can experience anxiety. At that point…IT’S PRETTY IMPOSSIBLE TO LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

Once we get to primal hunger, it’s just “give me whatever food is in front of me and let me devour it.” It doesn’t serve you with eating in a present way. For all you nerds wanting to know the science. A hormone called NPY rises when we skip meals and has our body seeking out carbs! Ever not eaten much durning the day only to find you full on go carb crazy at night? This habit loop isn’t serving you in remaining connected to your body. Try and commit to three balanced meals a day and see how much more balanced YOU feel.
